Less players tested positive to drugs: Yusuf

Over 13,000 football fans passed through the Subrail Park gates during the first weekend of the Extra Battle of the Giants tournament, says Fiji Football Association CEO Mohammed Yusuf.

Only three players tested positive to drugs during the Extra Battle of the Giants tournament.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said this was a big improvement when compared to previous years.
“We had tested 72 players during the three-day period and only three were positive,” he said.

“That was a great response and so was the halftime entertainment done by Extra Supermarket that got the fans involved.”
He said for this weekend they are expecting a cracker in the semi-final matches.
The first semi-final is at 2pm between hosts Extra Supermarket Labasa against River Tubing Fiji/ Classic Tour and Rentals Navua.
Followed by the second semi-final between defending champions Paradise Seafoods Lautoka against Lincoln Rewa at 4pm.
The B.O.G final will be on Sunday at 3pm.
