Navua turns focus on B.O.G

The Navua football team is aiming to make a strong statement at next month’s Extra Battle of the Giants (B.O.G) tournament at Govind Park in Ba.
The tournament, which will be officially launched today in Suva will be from August 4-6 and 12-13.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Navua head coach Roderick Singh said preparations were on track, but they still have areas to improve on before the tournament.

“The preparation for B.O.G has started and there are a lot of high expectations,” he said.
“As you know, there are a lot of people wanting us to be in the top four again.”
Singh has identified finishing and game management as key areas they need improvement on.
“Can we be very, very clinical in what we want to do? We need to have a clearer intention and idea on how we want to go about the game with or without the ball,” he said.
After a disappointing Extra Premier League (EPL) campaign, Singh said Navua was determined to produce a better performance in the B.O.G.
“We really want to show up in a very good form at the B.O.G and we are looking forward to the competition.” Singh has also urged Navua supporters to rally behind the team.
