Fiji PGA Order of Merit leader Sam Lee claimed the inaugural Girmit Pro-Am golf tournament at the Lautoka Golf Club on Saturday.
He shot five-under par, 64 ahead of schoolteacher Roneel Prakash who shot par four under, 65 to settle for second spot.
Lanky Amitesh Chandra and Inoke Bolakoro both shot three-under-par 66.
Lee admitted that he had a tough competition in the one-day event as youngster Barroon Hussain led after 9 holes by one shot over Lee and Roneel Prakash.
The group was delayed over an hour as they waited for the rain to clear.
On the back nine Lee was chasing the duo, Prakash and Hussain, as they were one shot ahead.

“It was a very close match until the last hole so it was very interesting,” said Lee who pocketed $800 for his efforts.
“I’d like to thank the Girmit families and the sponsors for this event and also to my sponsor Vuksich and Borich for their support.”
Nadi businessman Abid Hussein shot 65 overall gross to be crowned the amateur champion. Niven Padarath shot 50 nett.
Nadi golfer Praveer Chand shot 64 to claim an A-grade net ahead of D Mudaliar (67), and Ram Reddy.
Tournament organiser Ganesh Chand said this event was to mark the end of the Girmit era.
“We will make this tournament an annual event, we will increase the prizemoney from this year. We want to include women and more juniors in this tournament,” he added.
