Dilkusha Primary dominates zone
Dilkusha Primary School showcased its strength by winning the under-12 and under-13 grades at the Tailevu South Primary Schools Netball Association zone competition.

The Dilkusha Primary School netball team dominated the under 12 and 13 grades in the Tailevu South Primary School netball association zone.
16 schools took part in the three-day meet at the National Netball Centre.
Assistant head teacher Tarusila Tawake said her players showcased their talent on the court and enjoyed themselves in the tournament.

“We would like to acknowledge the organisers and parents who have been supporting us financially,” Tawake said.
“We would like to thank the Ministry of Education for allowing us to have this tournament.”
“It also included some schools that fielded in mixed teams of both boys and girls,” Tawake said.
“Alot of groundwork is still needed in terms of little infringements that we got penalised on from the umpires.”
Tawake added 20 players have been selected from each grade to represent the zone to the nationals.
“We’ll shortlist 22 to 12 players to take to Labasa at the end of the term,” she said.
The Dilkusha netball team were runners-up in the U10 and 11 grades.
“We’re not going just to make up numbers. We will go and stamp our mark at the national tournament,” Tawake said.
