Pearls play PNG in series bronze medal play-off

The Crest Fiji Pearls yesterday thrashed Papua New Guinea Pepes 64-35 to book their first win at the inaugural Spirit Series which ends today at Netball Central, Parramatta, Sydney, Australia.
They dominated all the quarters and strongly led 31-18 at half itme.
The two sides will meet again in today’s bronze medal play-off.

They lost their first match, 47-53, to 23-ranked Singapore and were defeated by the First Nations Blacks Swans 37-61 on Thursday.
The Pearls failed to qualify for the gold-medal match following those two losses.
The Spirit Series saw the debutants of six players which inlcudes Esther Dawai, Leehava Saverio, Ana Tolia Nuku, Vutaeli Tokaduadua, Eseta Waqaira, and Nanise Waqaira.
“Thank you for giving your all on court and wearing the Crest Fiji colours with pride,” a netball Fiji statement said of the debutants on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Black Swans and Singapore Vandas will meet in the gold medal play-off.
