Jimaima Kete has been named in the Crest Fiji Pearls squad for next week’s Spirit Series in Sydney, Australia, marking an emotional return to international netball after a two-year break.
The 25-year-old from Makadru, Matuku in Lau stepped away from the sport in 2023 following the death of her father, who she described as her biggest supporter.
“To be honest, it hasn’t been easy. I’ve had to manage my training, my fitness, my studies and my family commitments, but I’m grateful to be back with the team for the Spirit Series,” Kete said.
