12 teams will participate in the Punjas Digicel Super Club championship which starts tomorrow.
The teams will be selected from five major districts of Suva, Nasinu, Nadroga, Nadi and Lautoka who will compete in the 2-day tournament ending on Saturday.
Netball Fiji CEO Vivian Koster acknowledged Punjas and Digicel for their continued support of elite local competition.
“This tournament will be promoting healthy lifestyles through the provision of healthy, balanced meals and fresh fruits to all teams and officials.
“This initiative is supported by the NetGO Fiji programme and is a way of showing our athletes healthy food choices to enhance their training,” Koster said.
The Central men’s and Western men’s teams will also be playing two exhibition matches.
The tournament will be an opportunity for the national squad members to get some games under their belt in a setting outside of the Fiji Pearls training environment.
Members of the current national squad will be playing in this tournament.
The Fiji Pearls head coach, Unaisi Rokoura will be at the tournament to identify players for the extended Pearls squad.
