The stage is set for the Crest Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Championships quarterfinals at the LICI Court and National Netball Centre in Suva today.

This was confirmed to SUNsports yesterday by Fiji Secondary Schools Netball Association (FSSNA) president Navitalai Naivalu.

He said competition has been stiff between schools after two days of playing.

“The second day had a lot of upsets with teams from the islands and the Western side of the country lifting their performance,” he said.

“At the moment only, some schools are dominating but all schools that are here are competing for the first-place prize.”

Naivalu added that the quarterfinals begins at 8.30am today.

“We have introduced several prizes. We have the top two teams will play for the main competition,” he said.

“The losing quarterfinalists from the main competition will play for the Veiyasana Shield.”

Naivalu indicated that the third and fourth place teams from the pool games would feature in the Vanua Shield competition.
