Sporting activities suspended as bad weather continues

All outdoor sports and recreational activities should be suspended as unsafe weather conditions continue across the country, the National Disaster Risk Management Office (NDMO) has warned.

The advisory comes as Tropical Depression 11F brings persistent rainfall, thunderstorms and hazardous conditions nationwide.

Authorities say current conditions pose serious risks, including slippery and unsafe playing surfaces, reduced visibility, lightning strikes and localised flooding in low-lying areas.

Event organisers, authorities and the public are being urged to prioritise safety and take necessary precautions.

The NDMO said it will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as conditions evolve.
