The Fiji Water sponsored Flying Fijians presented their traditional i-Tatau to the Minister of Youth and Sports Jese Saukuru on Friday night.
The Flying Fijians are defending the Pacific Nations Cup (PNC) as they take on Tonga next Saturday, August 30, at Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium.
The Mick Byrne-coached side leaves for Rotorua in New Zealand where they face Manu Samoa on September 6.
The PNC play-offs will be played in the United States.
Saukuru congratulated the players on their selection, and reminded them that they are among the fortunate few who have made the team.
“This is through your sheer hard work and determination,” he said.
Saukuru wished them (Flying Fijians) the best for the upcoming campaign and encouraged them to continue being proud ambassadors of our nation on and off the field.
