CJ Patel partnership powers first-ever Drua vs SKIPPER XV pre-season showdown

As part of the partnership, the SKIPPER XV will face the Fijian Drua in a historic pre-season clash on February 6, 2026 at Churchill Park, Lautoka.

The match will mark the first time the Drua competes against a men’s representative team selected from the Skipper Cup provincial competition.

Fiji Rugby said the fixture represents a significant milestone in its relationship with CJ Patel, a partnership built on shared values of development, opportunity and the Fijian spirit.

The match is expected to provide a rare platform for provincial players to test themselves against professional opposition, offering exposure to elite performance environments and strengthening national rugby development pathways.
