Despite the 35-50 drubbing at the hands of the NSW Waratahs side, veteran prop Peni Ravai believes the Drua can still bounce back this weekend.

Speaking to SUNsports, Ravai said that is only possible if his Drua team-mates are able to put on the right mindset.

The Drua travels to HBF Park in Perth, Australia, to take on Western Force on Saturday. The Force after beating Queensland Reds last Saturday, needs a bonus point win to finish in the top six. The Drua has a slim chance of qualifying for the play-offs.

I know that age is catching up for me. There are lots of younger boys coming up too. So, we’ll see what the coach decides if I get selected, I’ll be happy.

Ravai told SUNsports that despite the handling errors they made against the Waratahs, they can improve by learning from it.

“I think it’s just our breakdown and a few individual errors. I think it’s just our mindset at the start of the game. If we’re switch on, we’re on but if you’re off and everything is going to be off,” the Flying Fijians veteran said.

Ravai said they would try their best to review all their handling errors, so they can be back on track.

He said there would be a lot of competition among the players fighting for a spot in the Match 23 squad.

“I know that age is catching up for me. There are lots of younger boys coming up too. So we’ll see what the coach decides if I get selected I’ll be happy,” he said.

He also acknowledged the support of the Drua fans who turned up in numbers.

“I know it was not a good game for us especially in the first half but next (this) week (against Force) we’ll try to fix all the errors we made. Also I want to thank all our supporters for backing us up all the time,” Ravai added.
