Drua confirm Smith departure

Drua head coach Glen Jackson confirmed yesterday that Smith has not been part of the main training group in recent weeks.

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua have parted ways with lock Angelo Smith.

Smith, a Lautoka homegrown player, played for the Melbourne Rebels in 2024 before moving to NSW Waratahs last year.

He signed with the Drua but did not feature for the main side. Smith featured for Lautoka in last season’s Skipper Cup competition and played for the Drua development team during the first round of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition.

Drua head coach Glen Jackson confirmed yesterday that Smith has not been part of the main training group in recent weeks.

“Angelo Smith is no longer part of the Drua. We have chosen to part ways and move forward,” Jackson added.
