Drua development crush Lautoka in Round 6 curtain raiser

The Fijian Drua development side thrashed Lautoka Maroons 68-12 at Churchill Park Ground 3 in a curtain-raiser match.
Led by Mesulame Dolokoto and Virimi Vakatawa, the Drua ran in four tries in the first half to lead 28-12 at halftime.
The side also featured several invitational players, including Nadroga captain Sakiusa Vosayaco.
The Drua dominated the second half with six unanswered tries.
Head coach Nemani Nadolo thanked his side for a strong performance.
“It was a good opportunity for us to see some of our development and invitational players get a run.
“Regardless of the scoreline, we’re happy to get game time, and it’s not just for the main team.
“I want to thank the Lautoka City Council for putting on such a great field.”
