Drua goes down Fighting in Hamilton

The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua’s Shop N Save campaign fell apart in the second half as they lost 46-29 in Hamilton tonight.

The Meli Derenalagi-captained side has failed to win any of their away matches this season.

The Drua trailed 24-17 at halftime with two tries from centre Iosefo Masi with Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula landing the conversions and kicking over a penalty.

In the second half, the Drua scored their third try to Te Ahiwaru Cirikidaveta with Ravula kicking over the conversion. The final try came from Kemu Valetini, which was not converted.

Chiefs assistant coach Roger Randle said the players were told to show more respect for the ball after a few sloppy passes in the first half.

In an earlier match Brumbies beat Highlanders 27-21.

Next Saturday: The Drua faces Waratahs at Churchill Park, Lautoka, ay 1.05pm.
