The Bitila Tawake-captained McDonald’s Fiji Drua is targeting back-to-back Super W wins.
Drua interim head coach Mike Legge warns that there are no easy games and has shifted their focus to next Saturday’s Super W Championship’s round-three clash against the ACT Brumbies.
The move comes after the Drua secured their first win of the season with a gritty 29-24 come-from-behind victory over the Western Force at Churchill Park, Lautoka, last Saturday.
The Drua trailed 14-5 at halftime before fighting back to claim the win.
Legge said the match against the Brumbies would be crucial.
“It’s massive. It’s a really crucial game,” he said.
“Just talking to the Force coaches, this competition is so even. There are no easy-beat teams now. Every team in the competition has good squad depth and real strength. “With the Brumbies, if we’re off our game, they’ll come to Ba and hurt us. We’ve got to review this game well and start getting ready for the Brumbies. We’ll be hoping for another positive result next week.”

Legge said the team still had plenty to improve despite the victory.
“It was a heart-attack game for us, probably a bit like last week. We didn’t really stick to our structures throughout the full 80 minutes,” he said.
“But the girls showed real resilience. Even when we were behind on the scoreboard, they showed what they could do.
“We clawed our way back, managed to get in front and then defended our hearts out to protect the lead. In the end, we got the win, and we’re happy with that.”
