Ponipate Loganimasi has called on their fans to come out in big numbers as they play the Queensland Reds at Churchill Park, Lautoka, on Saturday.

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua winger Ponipate Loganimasi has dedicated their 42-27 victory against the Brumbies to all their fans around the country.

Speaking to SUNsports last Saturday Loganimasi said their win against the Brumbies was special since it was the first professional rugby match to be played in Ba.

“We will celebrate this win especially this is our first win against the Brumbies and also for Ba to host a professional rugby game for the first time,” he said.

Loganimasi said their achievement was made possible with the support of their fans.

He acknowledged their fans especially the people of Ba for coming out early on Saturday morning to buy their tickets to witness their first Super Rugby Pacific match.”

The speedy winger said he is grateful to God for empowering them against the Brumbies. Loganimasi said their preparation throughout the week was spot on as he trusted the process and it was an ideal time for the players to bond.

“Today’s game has finished and what has happened should be behind us by now. We now look forward to our next game against a powerful Reds team (this Saturday),” he said.

“To all the fans I invite you all to our next game in Lautoka against the Reds,” he added.

The match kicks-off at 3.35pm.
