The McDonald’s Fijian Drua women will need to improve their discipline prior to the start of the Super W season.
This was the view of head coach Mike Legge after they drew with the NSW Waratahs side 27- 27 during their pre-season match at the National Stadium in Suva last Saturday.
“In the first 20 minutes of the match, we gave a lot of penalties away, offside, high tackles and if we continue to do that it’s going to kill us in the competition,” he said.

Legge has seen his players commit numerous errors against the Waratahs, but he was glad it was exposed during the offseason.
“We got some positives out of it, but we also got a lot to work on,” he said.
“We just have to stick to our process especially in wet weather and I think we tried to probably go a bit wide, too early in some stages.”
Legge commended his players for refusing to let their mistakes on the field dictate their performance.
He added that they were waiting for the results of the CT scan to confirm the condition of the injured flyhalf Imeri Nai.
“The other players just got some niggles that we are managing, but the main one is we’re waiting for an update on Imeri,” Legge said.
“It was so cool for the girls to see the embankment and the stadium full of the fans and it means a lot to have so many supporters.”
