“We’ve had some great sessions and work on our systems both in attack, defence and set piece to get those things right and the results will just take care of itself.”

The Flying Fijians had an early morning training session at Albert Park in Suva today. This is the continuation of their gym session from Friday afternoon.

Flying Fijians captain, Tevita Ikanivere told FRU Media, that they are determined and focused on defending the Pacific Nations Cup (PNC).

“The team has been training very hard,” Ikanivere said.

“We’ve had some great sessions and work on our systems both in attack, defence and set piece to get those things right and the results will just take care of itself.”

This meticulous approach, he says, reflects the team’s philosophy of controlling the controllable. By perfecting their core systems and executing their game plan, the Flying Fijians believe winning will be a natural outcome of their disciplined hard work.

The Flying Fijians face Tonga in their PNC opener next Saturday at Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium. The match kicks-off at 3pm.
