Jackson sticks with winning formula

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Glen Jackson has again opted for 6/2 split on the reserve bench when they face Queensland Reds in Lautoka on Saturday.

In naming his Match 23 squad yesterday, Jackson named six forwards and two backs on the bench.

The former international rugby referee has kept the core of the squad that beat the Hurricanes and the Brumbies.

In the starting 15, Haereiti Hetet retains his place at loosehead prop with Mesake Doge at tighthead and Zurilel Togiatama has recovered from his illness to start at hooker.

Jackson has retained the locking partnership of vice-captain Isoa Nasilasila and Mesake Vocevoce.

In the loose forwards Kitione Salawa starts at openside fl anker with Etonia Waqa at blindside while Elia Canakaivata is at No.8.

In the backline, captain Frank Lomani starts at halfback, partnering Isaiah Armstrong- Ravula at flyhalf.

Ponipate Loganimasi is on the left wing with Joji Nasova taking his right-wing position. Isikeli Rabitu starts at inside centre with Tuidraki Samusamuvodre outside him. Ilaisa Droasese is at fullback.

Jackson has named last week’s try-scoring debutant Sairusi Ravudi as backup hooker, Peni Ravai at loosehead and Samu Tawake at tighthead for what will be his 48th Drua appearance.

Vilive Miramira will cover for the locks. Isoa Tuwai and Motikiai Murray have been named as back up loose forwards. Issak Fines-Leleiwasa and Inia Tabuavou will cover the backline.

The match kicks-off at 3pm.
