Nadroga assistant coach Jonetani Ratu acknowledged their fans for the support despite the loss to Naitasiri last Saturday.
The Stallions fell short, 11-18, in their Inkk Farebrother challenge at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.
“We learnt a lot of things in this loss, the weather was unfavorable, ground conditions was sloppy and we couldn’t perform to our best,” he said.
“I thank the players for giving it their all in a hard battle in tough conditions.”
Ratu adds they will need to uplift their defense in their next match.
“In most parts of the game we failed to pass and shift the ball because we wanted to keep it and take it into contact,” he said.
“Most of these players took part in their first Farebrother match and it was indeed a worthwhile experience for them.
“This is not the last game for us. When a champion falls, they rise again,” he said.
The Skipper Cup and Raluve competition will be on a two-week break; Round 4 will kick off on September 6.
