Wallaroos and Western Force Women lock Sera Naiqama is expecting a tough Super W clash against the McDonald’s Fiji Drua at Lautoka’s Churchill Park on Saturday.
Accompanying her are former Fijiana XV prop Jiowana Sauto and winger Vani Buleki.
Speaking to SUNsports, Naiqama said she is eager to face the Drua and play in Fiji again.
“We’re very much looking forward to it,” she said.
“We obviously had a bye, so this is our first game of the season. The girls are really excited, we’re ready and we’re just happy to be here to get our season underway.”
Naiqama said their preparations have gone well.
“We had two trial matches on the East Coast against the Brumbies and Manly. We’re ready to get into Super Rugby. It will be a big challenge for us, but I think we’re ready for it.”
The 29 year-old recalled playing in Fiji for Australia A during the Oceania competition in 2019 and returning with the Waratahs in 2024.
