Naitasiri has set its sight on retaining two trophies this year as they prepare to host their Skipper Cup semifinal clash against Standard Concrete Tailevu on Saturday.

This followed a commanding 32- 18 quarterfinal win over Vinod Patel Ba at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka, last Saturday: Naitasiri captain Jone Naqiri said the side is focused on tightening their defence and improve their game before the semifinal.

"We came in looking up to a formidable Ba side," he said.

"We never underestimated any team and we delivered on the field.

"We will humble ourselves, go back to the drawing board, and work on improving our mistakes, especially in our defence.

"We will give our best in the semifinal."

Naqiri also praised the unwavering support of Naitasiri fans, who followed the team to Sigatoka.

"There is no other province that supports their team like Naitasiri. We plead with them to come out in numbers again as we face Tailevu in the semifinal."

He acknowledged the contribution from the Fijian Drua players who assisted the team during the off-season- helping with their fitness.

"Our target is to retain the trophies we've successfully defended, including the Farebrother.

We have set our sights on the Skipper Cup. We will continue to give our best and rely on God for strength and guidance," Naqiri added.
