Drua Women’s head coach Mike Legge believes the talented midfielder is only beginning to show her true potential.
“She’s world-class and is becoming a player that everyone is starting to notice,” Legge said.
“I still believe she has a lot more to offer, so I don’t think we’ve seen the best of her yet.
“She’s been brilliant for us and the biggest thing is that she brings the team with her. She’s a real gem in our side and I’m looking forward to seeing her play again this weekend.”
Legge also praised the influence of fullback Litiana Vueti and flyhalf Varanisese Qoro, who have played important roles in creating and finishing scoring opportunities.
“Qoro has been outstanding and very consistent for us. Litiana has shown what she is capable of, especially against the Force.
“It’s about making sure they are mentally switched on because when they are, we know the impact they can have. All three have contributed strongly to our season so far.”
The Drua coach also highlighted the impact of former sevens players Atelaite Buna and Verenaisi Bari during last week’s win over the Brumbies.
“Buna made her presence felt from the opening phases with her speed and physicality out wide,” Legge said.
“Bari was immense off the bench with the way she carried the ball. Both have adapted well because the systems we play are familiar to them from last season.”
