Ravuka Sharks stuns NZ twice, through to Cup semi

The New Zealand Development 7s team suffered a second defeat to the same opponents at the McDonald’s Fiji Coral Coast 7s, losing again to the Ravuka Sharks.

The New Zealanders went down 22–7 in their pool match before suffering a heavier 29–7 loss to the Sharks in the quarter-final.

The Viliame Nakausa-captained Sharks dominated the opening half of the quarter-final, running in three tries to keep New Zealand scoreless and take a commanding 19–0 lead at halftime.

Ravuka Sharks added two more tries in the second half to stretch their advantage and seal a comfortable win, while New Zealand managed a consolation try late in the match.
