Veteran Flying Fijian lock forward Api Ratuniyarawa and burly winger Taqele Naiyaravoro are leaving Northampton Saints at the end of the season.

Ratuniyarawa spent six seasons in England since moving from French side Agen.

He was called into the Flying Fijians squad in last November’s tour where he played against Wales and Georgia.

The 35 year-old has been in the Saints starting line-up along with locking partner Courtney Lawes.

Naiyaravoro has scored 15 Premiership tries in 50 games for the club, but has not featured this season because of a knee injury.

Last month, Fijian halfback Frank Lomani was released by the Saints to join the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in the Super Rugby Pacific competition. Only hooker Sam Matavesi is still staying with the Saints.

Also, Saints have signed up Matavesi’s younger Joel on a short term contract.

It was confirmed earlier that Flying Fijians loose forward Albert Tuisue is leaving London Irish after signing a contract with Gloucester.

Mawi shines for Saracens

Meanwhile, Flying Fijians loosehead prop Eroni Mawi scored a try for Saracens as they thrashed Brive 55-5 in the European Challenge Cup clash, this morning. First, it was Fijian full-back turned centre, Setareki Tuicuvu, who scored the French club’s lone try before Saracens struck back with Mawi scoring their second try from a forward drive.
