To be appointed coach of Super W and your country is such a massive priviledge.

This was the comment of former Flying Fijians captain Mosese Rauluni following his appointment yesterday as the new Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua women's and Vodafone Fijiana 15's head coach.

"I am so excited to work with this group of talented girls," Rauluni said from Australia yesterday.

"If we do the hard yards with a smile on our face I know we can achieve great things.

"I want know their strengths and weaknesses and plan out how to work with them individually.

"There is still a good base of players that are in the system who have won tournaments so they will be an important factor.

" Builders never start working from the roof, so getting a strong foundation from the ground up is the first priority for me."

For the Fijian Drua women he said his first focus would be the Super W grand final replay against the Reds in Brisbane.

"No greater first up challenge. For Fijiana 15s, Oceania focus will be winning first match then focus on the next two games.

"We must qualify for the World Cup - short term goal."

The Qarani, Gau, Lomaiviti coach has played 43 Tests for the Flying Fijians and was captain of the team to the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

He was Brisbane's Easts Rugby head coach in 2018, 2022 Rugby World Cup Fijiana 15s assistant coach and Queensland Reds assistant coach for Super W last season.

Joining the Drua women and Fijiana team is Selita Koroi as manager with Akanisi Drasuna as personal development manager for both teams.

Fiji Rugby Chairman of the Board of Trustees Peter Mazey and Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans have welcomed the first set of appointments for the Drua Women and Vodafone Fijiana Teams under the new arrangement between the two organisations.
