Swire Shipping Fijian Drua tighthead prop Mesake Doge highlighted that they did not start well against the NSW Waratahs which resulted in their 50–35 thrashing at the National Stadium, Suva.
Doge told SUNsports last Saturday evening that starting well was important because by the time they tried to catch up, it was too late.

“If we started early, we would have troubled them a lot. We didn’t execute well on the balls. The boys that came on, the impact, they kept us fighting,” the former Brive forward said.
Doge said the team showed character, but they had to take their loss and learn from it.
He added that one of the areas that really cost their downfall to the Waratahs was the poor communication among the players.
“It’s our communication, that’s what really cost us,” he said.
“We were not communicating and the clarity of what we’re doing was not there.
“That’s what really cost us today (Saturday).”
