The FMF Suva men’s senior team hopes to continue their unbeaten run when they face Cambridge Farms Nadroga in today’s Skipper Cup clash at the Suva Grammar School ground.
The current points’ table leaders, is the only team that has not lost a match since the season kicked off on August 2.
Suva team manager Ulaiasi Butukoro said with the Stallion’s new team management anything could happen today.
However, the capital city side is well prepared for the test.
“Nadroga is still the defending champions of the Skipper Cup although they lost a few matches lately; we’re not taking them lightly,” Butukoro said.
“We’re looking forward to a physical contest and to play 80 minutes of rugby.”
“Nadroga is a very passionate rugby union and their people are passionate about their game.”
Butukoro said they let Vatukoula back into the game in the second half despite winning 49-32.
“Due to new changes in Nadroga’s management, we’re expecting a strong contest. They’ll (Nadroga) prepare well to win and we’re looking forward to that challenge.
“We have confidence in our teams who have given us six wins from the last six rounds.”
Butukoro said they have played almost 100 per cent of their players after round six.
“We have a good idea of our depth. We’ve also have the services of our sevens’ players who rejoined us this week. The players are Terio Tamani, Tira Welagi , Sakiusa Siqila and Iosefo Namoce.”
