Suva will need to take their preparation to another notch against Vatukoula on Saturday.

This was after they came from behind to win 28-24 against Tailevu in round 5 of the Skipper Cup competition last Saturday.

The capital side trailed 12-16 at halftime but capitalised on the costly mistakes from Tailevu in the second-half.

Team head coach Solo Nute applauded his team for coming out with the win.

Speaking to SUNsports, he said they were expecting a tough encounter with Tailevu.

“All teams are prepared now in the competition.

“Whoever makes little mistakes will win, but we must lift our level of preparations for the next round of competition,” he said.

Nute admitted the first half was a tough period of the game.

“It was a really tough first-half.

“I told the boys at half-time that we need to stick to our gameplan and it did pay off,” he said.

Despite the win, Nute believes there is still room for improvement.

“We are not perfect, we made mistakes during the game.

“It is back to the drawing board on Monday, we need to polish our mistakes before the next game,” he said.

Suva had the services of Fijian Drua hooker Mesulame Dolokoto.

“Dolokoto is a huge boost for the team.

“He brings a push for our forwards and we are grateful to have him back,” Nute said.

Suva will face Vatukoula this week in round 6 of the Skipper Cup competition.
