A win is a win and that what matters.
This was the view of Tailevu Rugby Union president Joe Rodan (Snr) after their 22-21 Skipper Cup win over Malolo at Ratu Iliesa Sports Park in Mana on Friday. Earlier on, the Tailevu Under-20 side recorded a 24-23 win over Malolo U20.
Rodan was grateful to the Tailevu players for playing right to the last minute.
“(In the senior men’s) That last minute conversion put them ahead. They (both teams) did really well. Winning is very important. We were focused as we came here to win.”
Rodan said the win could put them either in the 3rd or 4th spot of the Skipper Cup points table.
“We could be in second place as well depending on the outcome of the other games,” he added.
