Tanivanuakula to make come back

Army 7s forward Kavekini Tanivanuakula made a return to the Fiji Airways men’s sevens extended squad and is looking to cement his spot in the final lineup for the Singapore 7s tournament.
This is after the Ba, Bukuya lad suffered a shoulder injury that kept him sidelined for six months.
“Our preparation has been good, and we’re trying to improve in a lot of areas like communication and defence,” he said.

“My parents have been my biggest motivation who advise me on a daily basis to fill my duties.”
The Army officer aims to improve his game fitness and communication with his teammates.
“I’m grateful to God in my journey to recovery,” he said.
“We learnt a lot in our scrimmaging session with the British Army 7s team.”
Tanivanuakula has featured for the Army sevens team in the McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s in 2023 and then went on to play for the Fiji Baba’s in the same tournament last year.
He made his debut for the national team at the Dubai 7s, 2024.
