Tavua ready to take on Ra

The Tavua women’s rugby side is looking forward to take on Ra in the second round of the Royal Tea Ranadi Cup competition.
After their 40-5 win over Vatukoula, last Friday, Tavua captain Alitia Kasa they would need to change the way they are going to play the game.
“Although we had a big win but at the same we also need to improve on a few areas of our game. These areas were exposed in our opening game against Vatukoula,” she said.
Kasa highlighted that most players in their squad were students and those that have come from different parts of Viti Levu to play for them.

Meanwhile, Navosa rugby coach Viliame Turaganborisi is confident of a fruitful Royal Tea Ranadi Cup year for his team.
He told SUNsports that they have been rebuilding their team since 2024 after several of their key players had left.
“We’ve to work on areas of our game before the next round on Tuesday,” he said.
