Hard work and patience are the winning ingredients of the NSW Waratahs women’s side as they prepare to end the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua’s reign as the Super W champions.

The Drua beat Western Force 25-14 in the first semifinal in Suva on Friday followed by the Waratahs 47-27 win over the ACT Brumbies in the second semifinal.

“We worked on a lot during the week, and it was good to put it all into action tonight,” Waratahs winger Desiree Miller after their semifinal win.

“We stayed calm and we stayed patience and that’s what resulted in my hat-trick (of tries). I couldn’t have done it without the girls.”

Miller said they got to the same preparation for the Drua.

“If we stick to our processes and build on those one-percenters, I feel like we’ll have a really good shot.”
