Swire Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Mick Byrne is confident of their first Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific away win against the Rebels in Melbourne, Australia, tonight.
Byrne said they need to play the type of pressure rugby they are renowned for at home.
Byrne said the Drua played well in the second half of their away matches against the Blues, Moana Pasifika and Chiefs.
“The first away game, we won the second half, also against Moana and the Chiefs. We were competitive for a fair part of the game. But we need to start well on our away games,” he said.
“We need to be on the go and do things right from the first kick-off. That’s something we’ve been focusing on.”
The team discussed about improving their discipline, which if neglected could affect the scoreboard.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed Australian Wallabies head coach Joe Schmidt and assistant Mike Cron, a renowned All Blacks scrum guru were working with the Rebels forwards for the Drua encounter. The match kicks-off at 8.35pm, today.
