“I think the biggest difference this year was my mindset and consistency,” he said.
“I trusted my preparation, stayed discipline during key moments, and didn’t try to do too much when under pressure. I just wanted to have fun on the court again.”
The title marks another milestone in Singh’s contribution to Fiji tennis, having progressed from the junior competition to senior national representation. He has also served in leadership roles as team captain and coach at regional events.
A Fiji National University (FNU) graduate in Electrical Engineering, Singh now works as a tennis and pickleball consultant at Kokomo Private Island while continuing to compete at elite level. Reflecting on his championship run, Singh reiterated that staying composed during crucial moments proved decisive.
“I focused on staying present, point by point,” he said.
“Instead of thinking about the outcome, I kept bringing myself back to my routines — breathing, sticking to patterns and trusting my strengths.”
Singh’s tennis journey began playing informally with his father before moving into structured junior competitions and eventually to national representation.
Family support has remained central to his career. “My family is a big source of inspiration,” he said acknowledging the support of his parents, Rakesh and Anjula Singh.
