For 20-year-old Elenoa Saukuru, the Miss Bula 2026 pageant is more than a competition—it is an opportunity to inspire young people to believe in the power of education and create a better future.

The junior research analyst with Asples Pacific Research is championing education and youth empowerment as she vies for the Miss Bula 2026 crown.

Proudly sponsored by Jack's of Fiji, Ms Saukuru is from Nalauwaki in Yasawa.

She said her advocacy was shaped by her own journey of resilience, family support and determination.

"Education does not just open doors. It teaches a generation which doors are worth walking through," she said.

Ms Saukuru said she was enjoying every moment of her Miss Bula 2026 journey.

As part of the lead-up to the pageant, contestants were treated to lunch by the team at Mamacita Mexican Restaurant on Denarau.

She described the meal as full of flavour and prepared with great care.

"From the first bite to the last, it was a dining experience we truly enjoyed," she said.

Ms Saukuru said the lunch became more than just a meal, giving the contestants an opportunity to bond, share laughs and create lasting memories.

She also thanked the Mamacita team for its warm hospitality.

In a statement, the Bula Festival committee said:

"A heartfelt thank you to the entire Mamacita family for your generous hospitality and for making this experience so memorable. We are truly grateful for your kindness and support throughout the Miss Jack's of Fiji 2026 journey."
