The largest expansion in the history of Fiji's airports is underway as a landmark agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) rolls out.

Consultancy cost is pegged at around $907,141.17 for phase one of Nadi International Airport's infrastructure development under Fiji Airports' master plan.

The sum will cover project management, legal, and excellence in design for greater efficiencies (EDGE) certification, Fiji Airports said.

Fiji Airports described the move as an "essential first step" toward realising the bold, nation-building initiative.
