Toddler’s Dream Realised Amid Birthday In The Air

A three-year-old Lautoka girl was the first person to celebrate her birthday on board a Fiji Link flight.

Parizaad Nand was still trying to comprehend the fun her family was having around her on board the flight.

Her parents, Diana Nand and Lautoka lawyer, Salvin Nand, of S Nand Lawyers, and her grandmother, Malti Devi, planned a surprise plane ride for her from Nadi to Labasa on which they celebrated her third birthday.

The special flight on Fiji Link’s FJ82 was a promotion by Fiji Link where passengers had flown to Labasa on December 13, 2020, stayed overnight and flew back the following day.

Mr Nand said the special moment would always be cherished by his family.

He said his daughter was fascinated with aircrafts.

“We celebrated our daughter’s third birthday in latitudes amongst the clouds with her nani (grandmother), Fiji Link family and all other passengers,” he said.

“It was a dream come true for Parizaad as her love for planes became resolute.

“This was historical as Parizaad is the first passenger to celebrate her birthday on Fiji Link flights.”

Mr Nand said his family was appreciative to the Fiji Link cabin crew and staff who made their flight a memorable one.

“We sincerely thank the Fiji Link team for their support and organizing the surprise for our daughter,” he said.

“A special appreciation goes out to our cousin who orchestrated the surprise.”
