Leadership lessons shape young prefects at Seaqaqa Muslim Primary
Forty students inducted as head prefects share hopes for responsibility and growth.

Seaqaqa Muslim Primary School head girl Fadilah Hussain, 13, says she was excited and humbled to take on the leadership role on Wednesday.
“I am very excited and humbled. This opportunity gives me hope for the future,” Fadilah said.
A total of 40 students were inducted as prefects at the school. Fadilah said balancing schoolwork and leadership responsibilities would not be difficult.

“I believe time management is the key to discipline. Being on time helps us complete tasks on time,” she said.
“I also believe planning ahead is important when managing responsibilities.”
She thanked her parents and teachers for their support, adding that this year was important for her academic journey.
“Being deputy head girl last year taught me many lessons. I am grateful for those experiences, and now I have more confidence as head girl,” she said.
Fadilah said leadership roles helped shape students into confident and courageous individuals.
“Leadership roles mould us so that in the future we are confident and able to handle different situations,” she said.
Head boy Isoa Loco said it was an honour to serve the school community.
“I feel truly honoured. It is a privilege to serve my school community,” he said. “I promise to lead with dedication and respect.”
Isoa added that leadership helped students develop important life skills.
“Leadership gives us a voice and the opportunity to serve others,” he said.
He said being selected head boy in his final year of primary school made the achievement even more meaningful.
