Asian nationals, locals arrested in major drug raids

The Fiji Sun has confirmed that both Asian nationals and locals were arrested following multiple joint raids across the Central, Southern, and Western divisions, which netted major seizures of suspected methamphetamine.

The Fiji Police Force said the operations were conducted by the Serious Organised Crime & Intelligence Department (SOCID), Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU), Police Mobile Force, and the Fiji Immigration Department.

Large amounts of foreign and local currencies were also confiscated. Several individuals remain in custody as investigations continue.

Police said further details will be released as inquiries progress.
