Isimeli Savutini Bose is a man of few words. He is often described as a very private person.

Some prominent chiefs in the Ba Province, who are major shareholders of the company he oversees, the Ba Provincial Holdings Company Limited, had recently called for the termination of both Mr Bose and the board of directors.
Shine a Light made several attempts to interview Mr Bose.
Written questions were not answered, nor were phone calls. He also declined to comment when approached at his office at the Rogorogoivuda House in Lautoka.

Mr Bose is from Marou Village in Naviti, Yasawa.
Yasawa is one of the groups of islands that also make up the Ba Province – the biggest province in Fiji.
Mr Bose attended Queen Victoria School and graduated in 1962.
He continued his studies at the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education. He graduated in 1968.
Mr Bose has held the chief executive officer position for the company since 1995.
There have been mixed views about Mr Bose’s career, including some praising his commitment to Ba Province.
