Call my number if your complaint is not attended to, or if you have problems lodging a police complaint.
This is the assurance from Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (A/ACPO) Kasiano Vusonilawe, who has made his personal phone contact, 9904905, available to the public 24/7.
“I just want the public to know that if they lodge a police complaint at a station or community post and it is not attended to on time, call my number,” he said.
“I will try to ensure the report is attended to.”

A/ACPO Vusonilawe said police in Vanua Levu were intensifying operations against crime, after two private vehicles were intercepted last week for alleged drug peddling.
“We have done snap road blocks on the highway in Vanua Levu and managed to arrest some alleged culprits,” he said.
“There were two vehicles searched and found positive for drugs. My operations team in the North sent me the pictures of the search.”
He added that police were working to rebuild public trust and encouraged collaboration with communities.
Labasa Taxi Association general secretary, Sujit Sharma, said his group had repeatedly raised concerns with police about suspicious private vehicles.
He claimed that illegal operators, often referred to as “pari,” continued to affect the taxi industry and were allegedly involved in both legal and illegal activities.
“They are cash demanding operators and would take jobs from any individual regardless of criminal involvements,” Mr Sharma said.
