Drug raid evidence analysed by overseas experts

Analysis of the drugs seized by Police in the Western Division in the recent drug raid is now being undertaken.  

This was confirmed by the Fiji Police Force Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu in his monthly press conference today.  

Mr Tudravu said the analysis was undertaken by their overseas counterpart.  

“From that report, we will be able to unearth a lot of things,” he said. 

“Our team are currently doing investigations on other leads that we have with us.” 

Meanwhile, Mr Tudravu said eight police officers were under investigation for drug-related cases, excluding other related offenses. 

He said officers in the Counter Narcotics Bureau, who were charged, were now suspended and would go through the process of investigation before appearing in court.
