Four charged over alleged kidnapping in Lautoka
Police allege the group abducted the victim from her Saweni home before she jumped from a moving vehicle to escape.

A 20‑year‑old woman was allegedly abducted from her Saweni home in Lautoka and later jumped from a moving vehicle.
Police confirmed that a woman and three men have been charged in relation to the alleged kidnapping of the woman.
Police allege the four forcefully removed the victim from her home in Saweni on the morning of February 25, 2026, following an argument.

The first accused, a 25-year-old woman of Saweni, allegedly forced the victim into her car while three others assaulted a relative who attempted to intervene.
The victim reportedly jumped out of the moving vehicle and sustained injuries.
The 25-year-old has been charged with one count of kidnapping, one count of damaging property and one count of an act with intent to cause grievous harm.
Her three alleged accomplices — aged 44, 28 and 24, all of Saweni — have each been charged with one count of kidnapping, assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal intimidation.
The four are expected to appear in the Lautoka Magistrates Court on Monday, March 2, 2026.
