Man in custody for wharf robbery

The Fiji Police Force has confirmed that a man is in police custody for an alleged aggravated robbery at the Millers Wharf in Suva yesterday morning, while the search continues for his accomplices.

'The suspect is alleged to have with others, threatened a security guard, and stole a safe which was loaded in a waiting fiberglass boat, and fled the scene," Police said in a media statement.

"The incident occurred after 2am this morning."

Investigations continue.
