The Rewa Football Association (Rewa FA) has unveiled plans for major upgrade works on the Saraswati Manoca ground in Nausori. This was after the ground-breaking works were completed last week.
The development signals a strong commitment towards the future of football in the delta and will include the construction of a new clubhouse, improved player facilities and dedicated spaces to support teams across all levels.
The facility will cater for senior men’s and women’s teams, youth squads and the Red Kajikaji programme, providing an improved environment for player development.
A key feature of the project is the installation of the playable floodlights, which will allow the venue to host Rewa Regional League matches and other competitions.
Rewa FA president Nazeel Buksh said the initiative was about building a long-term foundation for the club.
“This is more than just upgrading a ground— it is about building a true home for Rewa football.
“We want to provide the best possible environment for our players, from our senior teams to our young talents, so they can grow and succeed,” Buksh said.
He said Rewa FA aims to complete the upgrades before mid-year.
“Our goal is to have these facilities ready as soon as possible so our teams and supporters can benefit. This is an investment in the future of Rewa FA and generations to come,” he said.
Rewa FA has also called on supporters and stakeholders to support the project.
