National policy workshop empowers Fijian head of schools
Ministry of Education teams up with Australia to improve teaching deliveries.

The Australia-Fiji Education Programme (AFEP) 2026 Capacity Building and National Education Policy Awareness Workshop held at the Studio 6 on Friday was about empowering our schools, leaders, and children across Fiji.
The Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, made the statement while opening the day workshop attended by Heads of Schools, Divisional and District Education Officers, and education leaders.
“This workshop is aimed at strengthening school management, policy implementation, and student-focused initiatives,” Mr Radrodro said.

He acknowledged the support of Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and AFEP in strengthening Fiji’s education system, and the Fiji Platform Support Services for funding the workshop.
The workshop introduced 24 policies, including the Teacher Remuneration Policy, Student Progression and Retention Policy, and Customer Service Policy, to promoting transparency, accountability, and quality education.
