Police cordoned off the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) Lautoka Mill head office today after an alleged pistols and ammunition discovery during an internal office move today.
The discovery prompted a multi-agency investigation.
The area remained under tight security as officers began preliminary investigations into the find, raising concerns about workplace safety and security protocols at the state-linked entity.

Access roads to the premises were blocked from both directions while Police secured the site. The measures were taken to prevent unauthorised entry or exit as assessments continued.
Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu said initial findings indicated the seized pistols were defence spray gas guns.
"Initial analysis conducted at the site indicates the seized pistols are defense spray gas guns. Further analysis will be conducted by the RFMF on the pistols as well as the ammunition found," Mr Tudravu said.
The items were reportedly discovered while staff were in the process of relocating the office.
Authorities said investigations were continuing and updates would be provided as more information became available.
