The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) has announced a temporary road closure at both ends of the Rewa Bridge in Nausori to facilitate upgrade works.

The closure will be enforced daily from 8pm to 5am, starting Thursday, November 6, and is expected to continue for seven days, with completion scheduled for Thursday, November 13.

According to FRA, two lanes will be closed each night at the Pacific Energy Service Station end of the bridge to allow for traffic movement while work is underway.

In a Government-issued statement, they have advised motorists to plan their travel accordingly and expect possible delays during the closure period. Access will still be provided for movement to and from Nausori.

“Traffic management personnel and signage will be in place to guide motorists safely through the road work zones. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we carry out these essential improvements,” the statement read.

FRA has thanked the public for their patience and cooperation during these essential improvements. For further updates, the public is encouraged to follow official communication channels.

For inquiries, contact FRA via their toll-free number 5720 (weekdays from 8am to 5pm) or email info@fijiroads.org.
